Fr. Stanly David James

Greetings in the name of the Blessed Trinity.

By the grace of God, the Dublin St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church is nearing 20 years of Christian witnessing in Ireland. Formally declared as a Congregation of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in 2006 by the late lamented Metropolitan Dr. Thomas Mar Makarios, the Parish today continues the mission and ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, bearing in mind that the whole of humanity should be united in the building up of the Kingdom of God. The faithful are both communally and individually a part of the mission to grow the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

As a parish, we will continue to strive to cater to the spiritual needs of the Orthodox faithful that have migrated and continue to migrate from India and abroad through the provision of accessible pastoral services and church facilities along with addressing the needs of the younger generation who live in a culture that is predominantly ‘western’ that does not require any affiliation with the traditional language or cultural practices of Kerala. We also affirm to extend the spirit of Christian fraternity and bilateral relationships to all sections of the local and wider community whilst remaining steadfast to the uniqueness of Orthodox life, liturgy, observances and traditions.

We pray that the invisible right hand of the Almighty God continue to lead us to our eternal goal.

In Christ,
Fr. Stanly David James
